Hayley Kiyoko Alcroft was born on April 3, 1991, in Los Angeles, California. Her parents Sarah Kawahara and Jamie Alcroft were both in the entertainment business. Her mother was a figure skater and a choreographer while her father was an actor and a comedian. Kiyoko started acting for commercials at a young age which laid the foundation of her career.

In 2007, Kiyoko along with Allie Gonino, Mariso Esparza, Kelsey Sanders, and Tinashe formed the all-girl group known as The Stunners. They were a part of Justin Bieber’s debut concert, My World Tour.
