The Who is a rock band that originated in 1964 in London, England. The Who has released 12 studio albums, 26 compilation albums, 14 live albums, 4 Extended Plays, 58 singles, and four soundtrack albums.



The Who have signed with various labels during their career. In North America, the band was signed with Decca Records. But in 1966, they signed to Atco Records to produce a single before getting back to Decca Records again the same year. The band then shifted to MCA Records in 1972 and then to Warner Bros. Records in 1981. Under Warner Bros. Records label, they released two albums, 'It's Hard' and 'Face Dances.' The band released their latest album in 2006 titled 'Endless Wire' through Universal Republic label.



In the United Kingdom, the band was signed with Brunswick Records. However, they shifted to Polydor Records in 1966. They formed the Track Records in 1967 and moved to it. After signing off with Track Records in 1974, the band again went back to Polydor. You may also like TobyMac or Van Halen.



Awards and Nominations

The awards of the band include the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001, Brit Award under the category of Outstanding Contribution to Music in 1988, and the NME Award under British Single in 1988. The band also received the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998, 1999, and 2007.
