Works and Production
Before receiving its premiere, the musical played a trial run for twelve weeks from November 2010 to January 2011 at Stratford-upon-Avon. The trial run was staged by the RSC (Royal Shakespeare Company).
Following the trial run, the musical premiered on West End at the Cambridge Theatre on 24 November 2011 while premiering on Broadway at the Shubert Theatre on 11 April 2013.

The musical is the winner of multiple awards, which include seven Olivier Awards in 2012 under categories such as Best New Musical, garnering the most awards by a single show during its time.
